Allergies

Allergies
In Denmark allergies are a growing problem. Many babies and youngsters
have allergies. The charts I have seen are often very different
so I am looking for some common astrological traits for allergies.
My daughter has allowed me to bring my grandchildren's charts.
My daughter and sun in law are both musicians and try their best
to live a spiritual life. There has been a lot of focus on the
right food during pregnancies and the right food for the babies.
The eldest was breastfed even after the youngest was born and the
youngest has been breastfed until a month ago.
The kids have been looked after at home as the parents did not
want them on institutions before they were 2 years old.
The only drawback I can see is that the family lived in the centre
of Copenhagen until 3 weeks ago and there was quite a bit of pollution.
(Not to American standards)
The eldest has suffered from eczema and has often diseases in the
respiratory organs. 13.08.1997.12.40, Copenhagen. He hates noise
and I believe is a highly developed soul. The youngest is I am
afraid multi allergic, he has almost always a running nose. 15.05.1999,
16.12, Copenhagen.
I hope a discussion on allergies could be of interest.

I'm very interested in what Hanne has to
say about the growing problem of allergies in babies and children
in Denmark.
George, my great-nephew, has multiple allergies (born 31st
August 1999: 1.53 BST: Southampton, England. 50N54 1W24). At
first, he had mysterious skin rashes but in recent weeks, a far
more serious condition has emerged connected with his respiratory
system. One moment he will be playing quite happily, then all of
a sudden he turns grey and is struggling to breathe and has to
be rushed to hospital. The problem has been variously diagnosed
as asthma, bronchitis and pneumonia but tests are still continuing
as the consultant is unsure as to the exact cause.
Soon after he was born, I received an e-mail from a family member
with the exact time. When I looked at the chart I felt uneasy,
partly because I had filled in the position of the European Black
Moon, which was conjunct Pluto and square his Sun in Virgo (there
was some discussion about the Black Moon in the e-mail lists around
this time). Mercury in Leo in the third house is exactly square
Mars in Scorpio, whilst his Moon in Aries is quincunx Mars and
square Neptune in Aquarius.
Intuitively, I feel there is some unease around George's relationship
with his mother, who I hardly know. His father, my nephew, I've
known since birth.
I'll be comparing George's and Hanne's grandchildren's
charts to see if there are any common themes.

Footnote about the Black Moon (NB not to
be confused with Dark Moon Lilith, which is different).
I shouldn't have referred to it as the European Black Moon
as it is not exclusively ours! However, from what I can gather
it is used more widely in Europe than elsewhere. Its full title
is Black Moon Lilith and apparently some European astrologers have
been researching its significance in the chart.
Up to now, I have not been at all interested in doing my own research
into the dark goddess, but having looked at George's chart
and the charts of Hanne's grandchildren, there's no denying
that the Black Moon placement seems very significant.
In George's chart, the Black Moon is at 9 degrees of Sagittarius,
conjunct natal Pluto and square his Sun in Virgo.
In the charts of Hanne's grandchildren:-
Grandchild A: Has the Black Moon at 16 Virgo, conjunct Mercury
at 15 Virgo, square the Moon at 13 Sagittarius. There are also
aspects to Mars, Jupiter and Saturn.
Grandchild B: Has the Black Moon at 27 Scorpio, conjunct Chiron,
and opposing the Sun and Moon in Taurus.
In the UK AA Journal this year, there was a two part article by
Christine Huyg-Baret on experiences with Black Moon Lilith. She
believes its position in the chart, "seems to place an emphasis
on the effect of, or attack upon, the deep feelings of attraction
towards and the repulsion of the inner femininity and womanhood".
I'm still reluctant to look too closely at the Black Moon but
I thought I'd mention these points, just before Pluto stations
before turning direct. Right now, I only want to think of George
as a little baby, and not a mass of complexes!!

Jenny, I do understand what you are writing
about. I often did not understand why it has taken so long for
a bulletin board to start trying when studying often to write letters
to my costudents wanting to discus.
Now we have a bulletin board and thank you. !
I feel that I have too little time to write about what I would
like to and commenting what I would like to. I was not active during
the midsummer month simply because there was not seconds, minutes
or hours available I even did not open it!!!!
I do not know you, or the other students, so maybe we should make
but a shot biography or maybe gradually letting the themes evolves
making allowance for personal comments and sharing.
I do not know if I will allow a feeling of family. I have been
disappointed ever so often opening to people, groups or co students
with no response.
I will hope that more and more will participate which I think will
happen if we make the board interesting enough.
As I do not have Georgette's chart I will kindly ask for your
dates. Looking forward to see the Board evolve I send you love,
Hanne

The above message should have been posted under
group dynamics, so I did it again!
Thank you Jenny for your confidence of giving your chart. It makes
everything a lot easier. I will write later on on Venus.
I am not familiar with the Black Moon. Having excess air I try
to diminish the astrology I am using. Ten years ago I dug into
every theory and tried to work it out. I do not think it relevant
anymore. In the Astrology of Healing we use but "simple" astrology
there are so many information that I have more than enough and
never ever come round to talk about everything I see in a consultation.
However, the Black Moon may give some information. My herbal teacher
Ken Lunn says that usually when a child has allergies there is
an overprotecting mother.
My daughter has an earth Moon. I have a fire Moon. My parents never
gave me the freedom and allowance for being fiery nor independent
strengthening my ego and self-confidence.
I remember putting a lot of pride in childrearing and wanting to
do my children's best, gave them lots of space, lots of independence
making room for them I believe, but my daughter has earth Moon
needing security, closeness, predictability and limits almost the
opposite than what she was given.
I did not see it before I started studying with Ingrid and understood
that each single child has its own needs and we must try to look
into the child and meet it.
My daughter does everything to be a good mother as I did, but she
gives the children what she did not get herself although she has
heard the lesson that each child is individual and has separate
needs.
Society as a whole does not see this. Most astrologers neither
I believe, but we do with the Astrology of Healing because we have
so much emphasis on the Moon.
I have tried to cleanse up my own issues with my mother hoping
that I could heal my issues with my daughter. It is not easy as
I can never ever as fire Moon give her Earth Moon what it demands,
it will always feel scary with all that fire.
I think she is overprotecting her children, which comes back to
the quote "seems to place an emphasis on the effect of, or
attack upon, the deep feelings of attraction towards and the repulsion
of the inner femininity and womanhood"

What is a "black moon"??

By now, you will have probably answered your
own question, Georgette! However, if nobody else posts anything,
and seeing that I brought it up in the first place, I'll write
something as soon as I can. It won't be original, mind you,
but just copying what I've read!

Allergies.
I would kindly ask if we could revise this entry and ask you Ingrid
to look at my grandchildren's charts so we could get a discussion
on the subject. We get more and more allergies so it would be good
trying to understand them better.

Hanne,
I'm moving the board in the next couple of days. I will try
to invent a way to display charts.
